ARTIST PROFILE

Anjali Kumar is from Delhi. I am passionate about painting since her childhood, her primary medium of expression is charcoal and graphite on paper. She says “The advantage with charcoal is that it is instantly alterable – you can change it as quickly as you can think.

I particularly like painting animals with careful attention of texture, shades and light. I also like painting flowers.” she has participated in many art exhibitions and her works have been exhibited extensively in India. Her works have been displayed in Rashtrapati Bhawan. Last year she received ‘Artist of the Year’ award in Namami Gange Art Show organized by Bharat Nirman Foundation.
